On Feb. 9, Shen Yun Performing Arts captivated audiences in Dijon, France, showcasing heavenly scenes, traditional Chinese dance, and music. Audience members praised the performance for its artistry.
“We are completely dazzled and completely immersed in the spectacle,” said Pierre Nessel, a business owner. “I saw the advertisement, and I came to see the show. It’s a very beautiful show, there are beautiful effects, and you have a very enjoyable time.”
Adrien Lansard, a pharmaceutical scientist, said, “This is the first time I’ve seen this kind of show, and I’m really pleasantly surprised. I think it’s really beautiful, very poetic. The music, everything is well-paced, and everything fits together extremely well. And you really get drawn into the show and carried away, pleasantly surprised.”
Shen Yun aims to revive 5,000 years of divinely inspired, traditional Chinese culture from before communism. Audience members were deeply moved by the importance of their mission.
Mr. Lansard said, “We need shows that focus on kindness. We need that today. We see enough negative things all the time, so we need to see positive shows, with laughter, dancing, kindness, and generosity. That’s what we need right now.”
“We all need hope. We live in a world that can sometimes be a little difficult when we listen to the news. It feels good to have this uplifting feeling,” said Antoine Michon, a business owner.
Fabrice Roy, a medical technician, said, “It allows us to see what is essential in life, and then to get rid of everything that is futile, to truly return to the sources of what is essential.”
I caught myself smiling during the show, without realizing that I was smiling and feeling good,” said Mr. Lansard.
Shen Yun will be performing in Llandudno, United Kingdom, on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15.
