On March 4 and 5, Shen Yun Performing Arts successfully closed the curtain in Sant Cugat, Spain. Audience members were deeply impressed by the company’s artistry and said they felt as if they had been carried away to a different realm.
“What first caught my attention was the explosion of colors. The light and colors evoke a sense of positivity and divinity, which is beautifully reflected. The atmosphere, with that cloud of smoke, also transports you a bit toward the divine element. I think they did a fantastic job, and the dancers are incredible,” said César Saez Navarrete, a chemical engineer.
“I think the combination is quite attractive and it’s really exciting to see how people dance. And all of a sudden they appear on the screen and then they come back. So it’s really exciting,” said Maximilian Maxsavonin, an entrepreneur.
“I found it very original. The theme of playing with the characters and playing with the backgrounds and having it all come together like that, I liked it a lot. I’ve never seen it before, it’s very original,” said Xavi Ponce Alonso, a graphic designer.
“The audiovisual aspect has truly been incredible. And the complexity of the costumes, as well as those of the artists, was amazing,” said Ignacio Marza Santacana, a business development manager.
Shen Yun simultaneously tours the world with 8 companies, all dedicated to reviving China’s 5,000 years of divinely inspired, traditional culture and values. Audience members were deeply moved by Shen Yun’s efforts and took note of a deeper message.
“I understand that in the end, it speaks about not abandoning tradition. I perceive the message as tradition being this divinity that descended to Earth, and they want to connect with it and not to lose that connection with the divine. I think the message is really beautiful,” said Sarai Jacobs, a business owner.
“We are shaped by our past, so we must be aware of it and of our traditions. We need to respect them, whether we like them or not, because they are ours. And we should also respect the traditions of others,” said Aldo Cipriani, a business owner.
“I would recommend it 200%. And on the other hand, I believe that understanding cultures different from our own is essential in today’s world, where we need more convergence than divergence,” said José Luis Massana Icart, a company general manager.
Shen Yun will be performing in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain, on March 15 and 16.
