Shen Yun Performing Arts invited audiences from Bergamo, Italy, into the world of ancient China on Jan. 23 and 24. Audience members felt they were mesmerized by Shen Yun’s artistry.
“Their talent is a show of grace and beauty that they convey to others. Their dedication and sacrifice are truly a gift to the audience,” said Giovan Battista Antongiovanni, a doctor.
“The artists are really good, very technical, and very prepared. Jaw-dropping choreography from beginning to end,” said Massimiliano Nunes, a financial adviser.
“This mixture between Western instruments and Eastern instruments works. It contains new sounds, but they also sound familiar to our ears. It’s very engaging music,” said Enrico Nosari, a lawyer.
“These are simple tales, yet they are presented with remarkable elegance, refinement, and an exceptional gentleness in both the movements and, most notably, the music,” said Giuseppe Gelmini, a former orchestra conductor.
Shen Yun draws inspiration from China’s 5,000 years of civilization and values from before communism, and showcases them through traditional Chinese dance, music, and stories.
“I think they want us to communicate a universal message, of peace and the search for spirituality,” said Elena Patander, an entrepreneur.
“Tonight I will definitely sleep very peacefully, lightly and I am especially curious to further explore [Shen Yun’s] message of peace and serenity,” said Alessio Manni, a business owner.
“I think they are always divine in all their performances. You can truly sense the lightness, the essence that touches your heart directly. To me, that is something special and fundamental. Truly, heartfelt congratulations to them,” said Violetta Ducoli, a school director.
“I want to say thank you for bringing [Shen Yun] here, for letting us participate in this beauty, to enjoy this beauty. You are amazing professionals and thank you so much,” said Aleksandra Lansoni, a professional photographer.
Shen Yun will be performing in Bordeaux, France, from Jan. 25 through 29.
