Shen Yun Performing Arts dazzled the audiences in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, on Feb. 12 and 13. The performance took them to the world of ancient China, visiting heavenly scenes and heroic battlegrounds through classical dance and music.

“It really takes you, even in the middle of the week, it takes you into another world. It’s very beautiful,” Claudia Cremer, a company sales head, said. “It takes you to Heaven.”

“Wonderful, beautiful, harmonious. I was very enthusiastic about the broad artistic spectrum that we saw,” Maximilian Eisenmann, a lawyer, said. “A lot of dance, music, exciting technical fusion of the technical screen, and the artists; I found that very creative, and the presentation of the stories is very touching,”

“It’s really touching to see how much heart the artists put into it and how important it is to them to bring their art and dance closer to our culture. You can see that there’s so much passion involved and you can feel it; it really comes across,” Michaela Petit, a former organization director, said.

Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance company, with a mission to revive 5,000 years of divinely-inspired Chinese civilization from “China before communism.” The effort has been warmly embraced by theatergoers, who highlighted the importance of the universal virtues showcased on stage.

“Grace and devotion, that’s the first thing that comes to mind. And also happiness and joy, and that it’s very good to have principles,” Eisenmann said.

“Culture is a human treasure that must be preserved. And I think it’s wonderful that these people put so much effort into bringing us this beautiful performance here. The beauty, it’s so breathtaking and I can only tell everyone to come and see it,” Iris Marczian, a real estate accountant, said. “These cultural treasures are so valuable and so enriching for all of humanity, and they also bring peace to the world.”

“I’m going to say that the more things like this that are brought into the world, the more people wake up and realize how important [traditional culture] is and how great it is—how much heart and soul goes into it and how much power it gives,” Ute Werner, a real estate client advisor, said.

Shen Yun’s International Company will perform in Northampton, United Kingdom, on Feb. 17 and 18.
