Presley Gerber, Son of Cindy Crawford, Dies at Age 27

Presley Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Randy Gerber, has died at the age of 27.

Presley died on Sept. 20 at a rehab facility, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office. It remains unclear what caused his death.

A representative for Crawford and Gerber confirmed his death, saying “the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Presley was also a model himself, having made his runway debut with Italian luxury fashion house Moschino. He also walked for brands such as Bottega Veneta, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, and Dolce & Gabbana, according to his biography on DNA Model Management.

He is the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

Presley had been advocating for mental health awareness through a series of videos he called “Mental Health Mondays” on Instagram.

During a 2023 interview on the Studio 22 podcast, Presley described mental health as “an issue” and said he hoped to share his experiences to help people facing similar issues.

“Having struggled with mental health depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said.

“For me, because it is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it that … I think that’s really what I want to do is help people get out of whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”

Presley said he began his modeling career at 15, when he was signed by IMG Models. His biography shows he previously worked with Calvin Klein, Omega, and Pepsi for commercial campaigns.

Kaia has previously spoken about her brother’s struggle with drug addiction in an interview with Vogue published last month.

“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said. “I think that’s also why I started to self-​identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
