AG Garland Grows Emotional When Confronted by Rep. Van Drew at House Hearing

At Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) confronted Attorney General Merrick Garland, and declared that the Department of Justice “has become an enforcement arm of the Democratic National Committee.” During questioning on the issue of a DOJ memo that described traditional Catholics as “violent extremists,” Mr. Garland became emotional, and fired back at Mr. Van Drew.
