Biden Blames ‘Greedflation and Shrinkflation’ for High Prices

While touting his economic policies, President Joe Biden blamed stubbornly high consumer prices on what he called “greedflation and shrinkflation” in remarks given Monday to the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference.

The remarks came after the president released a video on X to coincide with Super Bowl LVIII, which criticized stagflation by food and beverage companies. Shrinkflation describes food companies’ practice of putting less product into their packaging while keeping the price constant.
