In what would be one of the largest payouts in U.S. history, President Donald Trump announced his plan on Nov. 9 to take the huge sums of money collected from tariff revenue and use them to send $2,000 checks to most American households. Meaning that as long as you’re not a high-income earner, you stand to get a piece of the nearly $200 billion collected in tariffs to date.
