Hollywood Takeover: China’s Control in the Film Industry | Documentary

These are the issues explored in the groundbreaking film, “Hollywood Takeover: China’s Control in the Film Industry” an NTD Original Documentary that pulls back the curtain on how Hollywood is helping to further a global adversary’s agenda, the consequences that will have on the future, and what brave individuals are doing to change the tide. 

“Hollywood Takeover” follows Chris Fenton, a former Hollywood executive, and Tiffany Meier, an investigative reporter and host of NTD’s “China in Focus,” through their journey of discovering a must-tell story behind Hollywood and China’s lucrative union, which didn’t happen by accident.

Chris, hoping to prevent a U.S.-China cold war by advocating for cultural exchange via films, plays a big role in opening the China market to American blockbusters but only to have his hopes for international peace crushed upon learning about the Chinese Communist Party’s true nature. Through dramatic, personal experiences and behind-the-scenes stories of some of Hollywood’s biggest names, Chris walks us through his process of awakening.

Tiffany’s role as the host of “China in Focus” leads her to discover the CCP’s decades-long operation to use entertainment as a tool of influence and a weapon against its enemies. In her investigation, she interviews China experts and Hollywood insiders, and researches the Party’s entanglement with Hollywood, its military strategy called “unrestricted warfare, and its pursuit of world domination. 

During Tiffany’s journey of discovery, good news emerged indicating that the tide seems to be changing: “Top Gun: Maverick ” put the Taiwanese flag back on Tom Cruise’s jacket as companies faced backlash for kowtowing to China.

The survival of the United States depends on people waking up to the CCP’s relentless literal and cognitive takeover of our country. At this crucial historical moment, the truth may be inconvenient to many, but we all have a choice to make: will we continue to feed the dragon?

News: On March 4, YouTube took down the trailer of the new NTD Original Documentary “Hollywood Takeover: China’s Control in the Film Industry” and removed the Hollywood Takeover YouTube account. The account and trailer were only reinstated two days later after a news outlet asked Youtube why and reported about this news.
