Houston Fire Department Extinguishing the Mulch Fire

Houston Fire Department has been performing extinguishment efforts since the afternoon of Aug. 13, and a video of the fire went viral Sunday night.

Houston Fire Department Chief Samuel Peña said on Sunday that firefighters had isolated the burning material. But more time and heavy equipment will be required to ensure that the fire is completely extinguished.
