Inflation Slowed More Than Expected in April, Lowest Rate Since 2021 | Business Matters (May 13)
The latest consumer price index data was released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Inflation slowed more than expected in April, despite building tariff-related price pressures. Consumer prices rose 0.2 percent last month. That brings the annual inflation rate to 2.3 percent—the lowest since February 2021.
