‘This Is Israel’s 9/11’: Israel’s Ambassador to UN Condemns Hamas

Speaking in New York on Oct. 8, Israel’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, slammed the Hamas attack against Israel the previous day as a “barbaric pogrom,” and declared that it was equivalent to “Israel’s 9/11.”
Mr. Erdan said Israel had suffered hundreds of fatalities in the surprise attack as civilians were “gunned down” by “ruthless terrorists.”
