The Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC) holds a hearing at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 22 on people imprisoned and persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the families and religious communities working for their freedom, and the regime’s retaliation toward those who speak out on their behalf.

Witnesses:

• Pastor Ezra Jin, just released after more than 260 days in detention in China

• Rushan Abbas, founder and executive director of Campaign for Uyghurs

• Erping Zhang, spokesman for Falun Gong

• Nelson Wells, Sr., father of detained American citizen Nelson Wells, Jr.

• Tim Hunt, brother of detained American citizen Dawn Michelle Hunt
