Nineteen individuals face charges in alleged medicaid fraud schemes worth $4 million in Pennsylvania. Authorities say the schemes are part of a nationwide epidemic of Medicaid fraud that has exploded since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Medicaid is on the table at today’s Senate Budget hearing. Senators and witnesses point to what they think is causing fraud in the program and ways to stop it.
