Vice President JD Vance started his trip to Switzerland Saturday for U.S.–Iran talks that will involve mediators Pakistan and Qatar.

Iranian state-run media claimed on June 20 that Iran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz. It comes after Israel and Hezbollah exchanged fire. Despite claims that the waterway was closed, traffic was seemingly still going through on Saturday, according to data provided by the tracking platform Marine Vessel Traffic.

President Donald Trump said there will be no tolls in the Strait of Hormuz even after the 60 days to negotiate a final deal. But he says the United States could impose its own measures if a deal is not reached.
