‘Seeds Are Technology’: Gov. Sanders Announces Order Requiring Chinese Seed Company to Divest Arkansas Land

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a press conference on Oct. 17, announcing an order that requires the Chinese state-owned company Syngenta—which deals primarily with seeds and pesticides—to sell around 160 acres of land in Craighead County, Arkansas. “Seeds are technology. Chinese state-owned corporations filter that technology back to their homeland, stealing American research, and telling our enemies how to target American farms,” Ms. Sanders said.
