Supreme Court Blocks Congress From Getting Trump’s Tax Returns in a Surprise Temporary Ruling | Facts Matter

On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court temporarily blocked Congress from obtaining former President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

Chief Justice Roberts’s stay comes after Trump filed an emergency application to the Supreme Court on Monday, asking it to halt the order, and this temporary stay gives the court more time to consider Trump’s emergency appeal.
