Freedom of Information or FOIA laws have been around for over half a century. But we are now at a point where it seems like every FOIA request from a member of the public becomes a game of cat and mouse between the public and the federal government agencies intent on concealing the truth.

You may have seen that The Epoch Times was sent 148 completely blacked-out pages in response to an FOIA request for a report on myocarditis injuries from the so-called COVID vaccine. And unfortunately, this kind of incident is no longer unusual. What’s the point of even having FOIA laws when all you get are blank pages?

The system is in urgent need of reform. We look at some of the most egregious recent abuses, and also at possible ways that the FOIA can be saved.
