Trump Announces Trade Deal With UK; A New Pope Is Elected to Lead the Catholic Church

The United States and Britain announced plans for a trade deal on Thursday.

“The final details are being written up,” President Donald Trump told reporters. “In the coming weeks, we’ll have it all very conclusive.”

The president said that the agreement would lead to more beef and ethanol exports to the UK, which would also streamline the processing of U.S. goods through customs.

The House passed a bill that would rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and direct federal agencies to update their documents and maps to incorporate the new name.

White smoke rose from the Sistine Chapel and the bells of St. Peter’s rang out, signaling that cardinals had elected a new pope to succeed Pope Francis and take charge of the Roman Catholic Church.
