Trump: Communism Leads to Death; Commemorating June 4: Tiananmen Square Massacre

Newly released photos shed light on the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing decades later, as commemorations take place around the world. One witness recalls what he saw back then.

Tang Kai, witness, 1989 Tiananmen massacre: “Many people were crushed [by tanks]. They had their brains, blood, and intestines scattered all over the ground—it was horrific. For many years afterward, I would have nightmares about that scene.”

In the Oval Office on Wednesday, President Donald Trump discussed the perils of communism with NTD White House correspondent Iris Tao.

Beijing still denies that the massacre occurred. Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te is pressing Beijing to “acknowledge the truth” and confront its past.

Grant Newsham, retired U.S. Marine colonel and former U.S. diplomat, comments on why Taiwan is a thorn in Beijing’s side: “[Taiwan] is a constant daily reminder that the Chinese Communist Party and its system have failed, that they are really just a bogus, all-bogus alternative for governing China and the Chinese people in it.”

U.S. citizenship through surrogacy, then raised in China: New legislation aims to close the loophole amid national security concerns.
