Video: Chinese, Philippine Boats Collide in South China Sea

China and the Philippines have traded accusations after 2 of their boats collided near the Second Thomas Shoal in the disputed South China Sea on Oct. 22. Video footage released by the Armed Forces of the Philippines shows a Chinese vessel apparently attempting to block Philippine boats from supplying troops stationed there. The video footage shows the Chinese vessel grazing the hull of the Philippine boat. The collision occurred during a Philippines resupply mission to troops stationed on a grounded World War II-era transport ship, the BRP Sierra Madre, which is used as a Philippine outpost on the shoal.
