White House Denounces House GOP Afghanistan Withdrawal Report

White House national security communications adviser John Kirby on Monday denounced a House Republican investigation report accusing the Biden administration of failures in connection with the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal.

Kirby challenged the accusations at a press conference in Washington. “There was no deception, lying or lack of transparency” involving the administration’s actions before and during the withdrawal, he said.
