WHO Holds Press Conference on COVID

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus briefs the media at 9:00 a.m. ET on May 5 on global health issues the day after the emergency committee meets to advise WHO on whether the COVID-19 pandemic still constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC)—the agency’s highest form of alert.

The PHEIC was first declared on Jan. 30, 2020.
