Winter Storm to Bring Heavy Snow Across US; Russia, Ukraine, US to Hold Talks in UAE

U.S. airlines have rolled out sweeping travel waivers as a powerful winter storm threatens to disrupt air travel across a wide swath of the country heading into the weekend, with forecasters warning of heavy snow, ice, and dangerously cold temperatures.

U.S., Russian, and Ukrainian representatives are set to hold their first trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Jan. 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov said.
