Also anticipating more arriving aliens once Title 42 expires is Arizona’s border city of San Luis.

In anticipation of the end of Title 42, the CBP has said it is surging personnel and resources to the Southern border and "increasing and enhancing" the use of expedited removal under Title 8 immigration authorities.

Currently, Title 42 remains in effect for the time being due to a U.S. Supreme Court order in late December 2022.
