Adele, the singer who rose to instant fame with her “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You,” announced on Friday that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki are expecting their first child together.
“I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time,” the 24-year-old Grammy winner said in a post titled “I’ve Got Some News” on her website.
The singer was first photographed with the 38-year-old Konecki, who is divorced with a daughter, back in January. He accompanied her to the Grammys, where Adele collected all the six awards for which she was nominated.
