NEW YORK—Can a computer program help solve tomorrow’s environmental issues? Designers, developers, and business professionals gathered at the Tisch School of the Arts Interactive for an annual Cleanweb Hackathon competition to find out just that.
The aim of the Hackathon is to challenge participants to create applications that can optimize the use of resources such as energy, food, and water.
The competition ran over the weekend. On Friday, participants came together to socialize and come up with ideas. They worked through Saturday on their project and presented a series of pitches on Sunday. The judges selected the top project on Sunday afternoon.
