Montréal Mayor Gérald Tremblay and Tatsuo Arai, Consul General of Japan in Montréal, ring the Peace Bell Aug. 5 at the Montréal Botanical Garden to commemorate the victims who died in the Hiroshima bombing 67 years ago. The bell was rung 67 times starting at 7:15 p.m., marking the exact moment that the atomic bomb was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on Aug. 6, 1945, killing tens of thousands of people.
