Man Gets Life in Prison for Schoolyard Killings

[xtypo_dropcap]T[/xtypo_dropcap]he first man who was convicted in the killings of three men in a schoolyard faces life in prison after a jury sentenced him on Thursday morning, according to NJ.com on Thursday. Rodolfo Godinez was charged with 17 counts, including murder, and other charges. The charges against him indicate that he and five others set upon four people on the night of Aug. 4, 2007, and shot three people execution-style, killing them. The other victim who was shot survived the incident and she testified. The jury only deliberated for three hours before making their decision. For all the charges against him, Godinez faces 245 years in prison. The five other defendants are slated to be tried later this month.
