VIENNA—A performing artist felt inspired when he saw The Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company at the Wiener Stadthalle on March 1.
Ramesh Nair, originally from India, performs in Austria as a dancer, singer and actor.
He said, “I had a great evening. It was unbelievable to see so much precision by the Shen Yun dancers. Not just the dancers, but the entire show was unique and exceptional.”

He looks at performances with a professional’s discrimination. “Being a performer, I evaluate the make-up, the costumes, the hairdos, the lighting and just about everything there is to see.” Every part of Shen Yun impressed him.
“Viewing this show, one sees the perfection, most of all as one can just sit back and let the performance sink in. There is so much grace, great choreography, as well as marvelous formations and flawless changeover.”
He found something in Shen Yun that would benefit him as an artist, he said. “I also do choreography and was inspired, and will use some of what I have learned today tomorrow during my rehearsal. I must admit that I’m fully impressed.”
Generally most performances and musicals are one complete story, but Shen Yun offers different stories and non-narrative dances to its audiences. “This type of show impressed me. One can immerse oneself over and over again in different stories.”
“I have been very impressed with what I have seen today and will tell all my friends about it. I hope they have the opportunity to see a Shen Yun show.”
He could not find anything lacking. “All I can say to everyone is that the Shen Yun performances are fantastic and there is nothing my critical eye could discover.”
