Steven Avery has a new lawyer, which means new hope for getting out of jail.
Kathleen Zellner, his new attorney, has been busy both on and offline dealing with the case.
Among her many posts and reposts on Twitter? A letter from the subject of Netflix’s “Making a Murderer” to his supporters.
‘To my supporters: I want every forensic test possible done because I am innocent. Steven Avery,” Avery wrote.

Zellner told Dateline she sees forensics ultimately proving Avery’s innocence.
“Generally, since 2007, there have been significant advances in forensic testing,” she told NBC’s Andrea Canning.
“Am I going to tell you exactly what it is? I am not. But it’s been a long time. There was a lot of evidence that wasn’t tested.”
Avery is currently serving a life sentence after being convicted of murdering Teresa Halbach.
