Susan Sarandon Joins HBO Pilot

Oscar winning actress Susan Sarandon, 63, has reportedly signed on for a recurring role on HBO’s Broadway-inspired pilot, “The Miraculous Year.” According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, Sarandon will play Patty Atwood, the director/choreographer of the play-within-the-show. The pilot was written by John Logan and directed by Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow (“The Hurt Locker”). The plotline is described as a “chronicle of a New York family as seen through the eyes of a charming yet self-destructive Broadway composer.”
