USA: 250 Years as a Beacon of Liberty and Refuge from Tyranny

Since its founding 250 years ago, the United States of America has been a mighty magnet to millions of people seeking freedom and fleeing tyranny.

In the 20th century alone, mass-murdering communist regimes slaughtered more than 100 million men, women, and children, causing millions more to flee. Many of those refugees came to the United States to rebuild their lives, raise their families, and contribute to their adopted country.

Now, however, the communism they fled from is emerging in “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Antifa thugs act like Mao’s Red Guard; statues of America’s founders are toppled; churches are vandalized; cities are burned.

The radical Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are taking over the Democrat Party.

Anti-American socialists and extremists are winning local elective offices; schools and universities are becoming Marxist indoctrination factories; children are undergoing radical surgical mutilation to change their sexual identities; and major U.S. corporations and their globalist allies are partnering with communist dictatorships.

More Than a Century of Infiltration and Subversion

How could this happen in America? All of this societal disintegration and collapse have been in the works for a long time, and now they are rising to the surface.

Like a cancer, the communists, socialists, and globalists work in darkness, and their fatal effects are already deeply entrenched by the time they are noticed. Various communist/socialist/anarchist networks were actively spreading their toxic influence in America even before Marx and Engels wrote “The Communist Manifesto” in 1848.

But the communists’ explosive advance came in the 1920s following the Bolshevik Revolution and the founding of the Soviet Union.

During World War II, the Soviets were pretending to be our allies and needed our aid. This was portrayed in our media as a good faith sign by Stalin that our new Soviet “allies” would cease their spying and subversion within the United States.

It was a lie, of course—a strategic deception. Communist spying and subversion continued and, in fact, even intensified.

The Communist Cancer Spreads

The administration of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was infiltrated with Soviet spies and agents of influence. That was obvious to alert observers in the 1930s and 1940s.

However, the incredible extensiveness of that infiltration was only revealed in recent decades, as previously suppressed documents, files, and testimony have come to light.

The full extent of the communist footprint in our government then—and now—remains unknown. But this we do know: top communist agents and pro-communist politicians in FDR’s administration changed the course of history, dooming millions of people, especially in Eastern Europe and Asia, to communist slavery.

The top-secret Manhattan Project that produced the atomic bomb was loaded with Soviet agents.

These communist agents and pro-communist sympathizers illegally and treasonously provided the Soviet Union with our atomic secrets, thus enabling it to use the threat of nuclear annihilation as a geopolitical bargaining chip and forcing the United States to spend trillions of dollars on defense.  

Globalist Cabal Comes to the Aid of Communists

All this treachery has not gone unnoticed.

Whistleblowers within the government have been exposing it. Anticommunist congressmen, senators, journalists, broadcasters, and military leaders—as well as former communists—seek to root out the infiltrators, prosecute them, and establish internal security measures to prevent similar plots.

But instead of applauding and supporting these commonsense strategies, the establishment media and prominent American politicians and intellectuals come to the defense of the communists and launch campaigns of vilification against the anticommunists.

It is a repeat of the massive media defamation campaign against Chiang Kai-shek, the great nationalist, anticommunist leader of China. Soviet agents in our government undermined him and major elements of the American media slandered him and promoted mass-murderer Mao Zedong instead.

It’s a pattern witnessed repeatedly in bringing communist-backed regimes to power in Cuba, South Africa, Iran, Rhodesia, Nicaragua, and many other countries.

Why was this? Why would major capitalist media companies and intellectuals so consistently support communists?

The answer is that some of them are crypto-communists, or secret communists, while others are mere dupes who Vladimir Lenin ridiculed as “deaf, dumb, blind” men that were preparing “their own suicide.”

Many of the titans of Wall Street and the giants of business have provided crucial support to communist regimes.

While most of these elites are not communists (yet), they are globalists and internationalists, who share the communist vision of a future with one world government, open borders, an end to national sovereignty, and central planning by a privileged few who exercise total economic, political, and social power.

These billionaire insiders regularly attend glittering champagne-and-caviar soirees with top commissars of the Chinese Communist Party.

Their tax-exempt foundations have poured billions of dollars into radical organizations that hate this country and are training and organizing cadres for the communist revolution.

Over the decades they have placed thousands of their minions into the cabinets and administrations of both Democrat and Republican presidents, including in the military services and intelligence agencies. This has more recently been referred to as the “Deep State”—the unelected shadow rulers who have taken over our government.

Patriots for Freedom Fight Back

For nearly seven decades, The John Birch Society has led the fight to preserve America from the ravages of socialist and communist subversion.

In 1958, businessman Robert Welch and a diverse group of prominent Americans founded The John Birch Society as a patriotic, anticommunist, educational organization to expose the communist-socialist-globalist enemy, particularly within the United States, but internationally as well.

The Society is named after U.S. Army Capt. John Birch, who served heroically in China during World War II and was murdered in cold blood by Chinese communists 10 days after the war ended. He was, as Robert Welch put it, “the first casualty of World War III.”

His inspiring story is told in a 6-minute video created by FreedomProject, an affiliate of The John Birch Society (JBS).

The Society’s motto is “Less Government, More Responsibility, and With God’s Help, a Better World.”

How will this be achieved? Another JBS motto explains: “Education is our total strategy, and truth is our only weapon.”

Educating first ourselves and then our fellow citizens on the principles of liberty and a true understanding of our Constitution, as well as the truth about the false promises and evil deeds of collectivism, whether it be communism, socialism, or fascism, is essential to preserving freedom.

To accomplish this, the Society:

• Maintains a strong online social media presence on X, Facebook, YouTube, Rumble and other platforms

• Holds members of Congress accountable by publishing their voting records in the Freedom Index, and publishes the Freedom Score on the voting records of all state legislators, who enact the laws that tax, regulate, and affect us in so many ways

• Provides federal and state legislative action alert

• Has a network of local JBS chapters across the nation so that citizens can join with like-minded patriots in a concerted effort to inform their communities about important issues and advance the freedom agenda
