Dallas Cowboys running back Alfred Morris does not plan on giving up his “baby” anytime soon.
While other NFL players are driving luxury vehicles, Morris, 27, is still driving around a 1991 Mazda 626 that he bought from his pastor when he was a junior in college. The best part? Morris bought the car for only $2.
And after signing a two-year $3.5 million deal earlier in the offseason, he has no interest in changing that.

“Yes, I still have my car,” Morris told 5 Points Blue. “I still drive ‘Bentley’ which is what I call my car even though she’s not really a Bentley. It’s always going to be my baby and I’m going to drive it ’til she dies.”
Morris got a treat in 2013 when Mazda offered to restore his car to factory condition after all the publicity—with a few bonuses. They replaced the old tape deck with a touch screen audio system, added cross-stitched leather seats, and even fixed the air conditioning.
The only thing they didn’t touch was the old parking sticker he’d had since his senior year. It’s still stuck on the windshield.

The NFL star, who was first drafted to the NFL in 2012, said he’d grown up with two family values: hard work and humility.
Morris is one of seven sons born to Ronald and Yvonne Morris in Pensacola, Florida. His father worked construction, and his mother went back to school to earn a master’s degree in special education, according to 5 Points Blue.
Morris says he drives his old car to remind himself every day of the importance of humility.
