‘Smallfoot’
Migo (Channing Tatum), a Yeti living up in the Himalayas, claims he’s seen a human. That upsets his village built on rigidity, drawing the ire of Stonekeeper (Common). Cast out, he sets off to prove that the “smallfoot” is real, crossing paths with Percy (James Corden), a fame-hungry TV host chasing his big break.
Underneath the fur and pop hooks, there’s a sly warning about how fast a crowd will swallow whatever story gets blasted loudest, legacy outlets included. That angle gives the whole ride a little extra bite for grown-ups.

Renovation Therapy in Tuscany
‘Made in Italy’
Jack (Micheal Richardson, Liam Neeson’s son), a London gallery director, reunites with his estranged father, Robert (Liam Neeson), to sell a crusty Tuscan villa left after his mother’s death. In the middle of repairs and old resentments, local restaurateur Natalia (Valeria Bilello) complicates Jack’s plans.
It’s familiar territory, sure, but I’d rather spend 94 minutes in Tuscan sunlight with two stubborn Neesons than sit through another doom fest. In the end, it’s a hopeful film about patching up familial bonds.

Of Spindles and Sleeping Spells
‘Sleeping Beauty’
Maleficent (Eleanor Audley) curses infant Princess Aurora (Mary Costa) to die at 16, but kind fairies hide and raise her in the woods. Years later, Prince Phillip (Bill Shirley) walks straight into danger while trying to rescue her.
The hand-drawn backgrounds are top-tier, and the dramatic finale is still quite spectacular. This is an old-school fairytale that still endures.
