This film remains one of my personal favorites and is still sorely underappreciated. With its superb voice acting, interesting characters, fluid animation, and a timeless story about friendship and respect, it deserves more recognition.

A Spellbinding Tale of Redemption
‘The Verdict’
Crime dramas are Sidney Lumet’s specialty, and “The Verdict” is no exception. Paul Newman shines as Frank Galvin, a washed-up Boston lawyer with a drinking problem. He gets a chance at redemption by taking on a high-stakes medical malpractice case.
This film is a masterclass in storytelling, showcasing why it’s considered one of the greatest “little guy vs. the system” dramas. Newman delivers one of his finest performances, portraying a man clawing his way back to dignity and professional respect.
