The tiny outline of a lost kitten was spotted on a busy highway by a police officer in Florida, late May, before a minor rescue operation unfolded.
The kitty emergency was soon resolved when a truck driver cooperated with Officer Stanfield from the Alachua Police Department, both drivers using their vehicles to block traffic.
The department posted body camera footage of their lifesaving efforts on Facebook.

The driver of a truck belonging to a local diner parked in the righthand lane of NW U.S. Highway 441, near Alachua, with Officer Stanfield blocking traffic behind them, both vehicles keeping traffic from harming the helpless kitten in the middle of the road.
In the footage, Officer Stanfield takes care getting out of his cruiser and keeps close to the parked vehicles as he advances toward the truck where the baby feline, barely visible, is just a dark spot on the asphalt.

Cars pass within feet of the officer and kitten as he picks it up with care and brings it safely into his cruiser, out of harm’s way.
“We’re thrilled to share that this little furball has found a loving forever home with one of our amazing dispatchers,” the police department captioned.
