Looksmaxxing Influencer Clavicular Charged With Rape In Massachusetts

Braden Peters, a social media influencer known as Clavicular and a prominent figure in the looksmaxxing community, has been charged with rape in Massachusetts.

Peters, 20, faces counts of rape, administering a substance for sexual intercourse, and procuring alcohol for a person under 21. Court records link the case to an alleged May 23, 2025, assault in Chatham, with a clerk-magistrate finding probable cause Sept. 4. The criminal complaint was issued Sept. 8.

Peters lives in Florida and is not in custody. His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 14.

An attorney for Peters could not be immediately reached.

The 17-year-old accuser told Chatham police she and Peters first messaged on Instagram. He later paid her to appear in the looksmaxxing videos he streamed. She said he knew her age, but directed her to tell viewers she was 18 and that the vodka he handed her was water.

On May 23, she said she took a rideshare from her grandparents’ home to the family’s place on Morris Island, a gated community of multimillion-dollar houses looking over the Atlantic. She told police she greeted Peters’s mother and grandmother, and Peter walked her to his room where he was livestreaming on Twitch.

She drank what she thought were two or three shots of vodka, growing increasingly intoxicated. An officer who reviewed clips from the stream said one showed her telling Peters, “Wait, I’m so drunk though.” Peters responded, “It’s OK,” before the two kissed, according to the police report.

The stream ended, and the two went to his bedroom, where she said she fell asleep and awoke the next morning to Peters raping her.

That account first appeared in a lawsuit filed against him in Florida in April. An amended complaint in June accused Peters of sexual battery tied to the night in Cape Cod. It also accused him of later injecting the girl with a fat-dissolving substance during a livestream without her consent.

His lawyers denied the civil claims in a July filing, describing the encounter as consensual and the lawsuit a “publicity grab.” 

Looksmaxxing is an online subculture in which young men try to raise their looks by whatever means necessary. The same reporting notes the community circulates extreme methods, like jaw-stretching devices, bonesmashing, and unregulated injectable peptides. 

The trend’s older roots run through the incel, or involuntary celibate, boards. The community is built mainly of men who say society shuts them out of sex and romance because of fixed traits, such as their jawlines, hairlines, eye colors. Peters has said many times that looksmaxxing is self-improvement, nothing else.
