Victims of Mao Event

To honor the millions of Chinese people killed by Mao Zedong’s Chinese communist regime, Lisa Fifield organized the Victims of Mao event.

It will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda on Nov. 7.

This event is part of the national Victims of Communism Memorial Day remembrances which are organized by individuals and organizations across the United States.

Period film and photographs, witness stories, and historical facts will be shared at the event.

Speakers will include Utah K-12 students, Rep. Kay Christofferson (R-Utah), Rep. Candice Pierucci (R-Utah), and Babur Ilchi, an ethnic Uyghur.
