‘Step Down CCP’: Protest in DC, Against China’s COVID Lockdowns; Urumqi Fire Victims Mourned

Following days of ongoing protests in China and across the globe, people gather in Washington D.C. outside the Chinese embassy to support people in China who are protesting Beijing’s draconian “zero-COVID” policy.

China’s strategy of controlling the coronavirus with lockdowns, mass testing, and quarantines has provoked the greatest show of public dissent against the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in decades.

Chinese students across the world have taken to the streets in a solidarity protest with the protestors against lockdowns, Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and the CCP in China.
