Illegal Immigration Numbers ‘Stagger the Imagination’: Republican Senators Demand Action to Secure Border

As the immigration crisis intensifies across the country, a number of Republican Senators held a press conference on Wednesday, Sept. 20 in Washington to demand the Biden administration take action to secure the United States’ southern border. Sen. John Cornyn said the number of illegal immigrants was enough to “stagger the imagination.”

“As many as 7 million illegal border encounters since President Biden became president,” said Mr. Cornyn. The speakers also discussed the Chinese communist regime’s role in the influx of fentanyl across the border, and the auctioning off of sections of border wall purchased with taxpayer money but not yet installed along the border.
