Witnesses Recount Close Encounter With Taco-Loving Bear in Mexico

The family and friends who captivated the internet with their calmness as a hungry black bear devoured their picnic food in front of them in north Mexico recounted the encounter to Reuters on Wednesday.

On Monday, Silvia Macias, her son Santiago, and family friends Nathalia Fuentes and Angela Chapa visited the Chipinque Ecological Park, and talked about the possibility of encountering a bear, without expecting their prediction to come true.

In the video footage, Ms. Macias is seen holding her son Santiago close to her chest and covering his face as the bear devours their food.
