Behind the FBI’s Special Designation to Criminalize the Entire MAGA Movement: Julie Kelly
There was a shocking story recently: Newsweek reported that the FBI is targeting supporters of former President Donald Trump in terror investigations in the run-up to the 2024 elections.
The report alleges that the FBI used a subtle change in language in order to go after MAGA. It changed the definition of “anti-government, anti-authority violent extremism” from being the “furtherance of ideological agendas” to the “furtherance of political and/or social agendas.” In this way, the FBI was able to do something it normally could not do—to label a political movement behind the leading Republican candidate as something representing domestic violent extremism. Here to speak with us about this is Julie Kelly. She’s a political commentator and senior contributor to American Greatness.
