‘Service Above Self’ as DeSantis Links Patriotism and Military Service

Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis explained his view of patriotism at a CNN town hall meeting with Nikki Haley in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday as the state caucuses loom. He also offered his thoughts on what transpired with those attending the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, and described his vision for strengthening the link between patriotism and military service.
