No Data for ‘Social Distancing,’ Approving Grants Without Reading Proposals, 100 ‘I Don’t Remember’s’ | Facts Matter
On Monday, Dr. Fauci was back in Washington DC, giving testimony in a closed-door deposition at the U.S. Capitol. For your reference, this was Dr. Fauci’s first time answering questions (under oath) since November of 2022.
Dr. Fauci agreed to answer questions as long as he could bring with him 2 personal lawyers, as well as 2 lawyers for the government (meaning 4 lawyers in total).
Congress allowed it and so the hearing took place, and answer questions Dr. Fauci did: for about 14 hours, across 2 days.
However, perhaps Dr. Fauci’s old age is beginning to catch up with him—because during the deposition, Dr. Fauci (who, just for your reference, is 83 years old) seemed to not remember many things.
In fact, when just half of the deposition was over (during the break) Congressman Brad Wenstrup told reporters that:
“There may be over 100 or so, so far, ‘I don’t recall’, ‘I don’t remember’ answers.”
Regardless, despite this apparent case of amnesia, the testimony did shed light on a few key points. Let’s go through them together.
