CECC Holds Press Conference to Discuss Hong Kong Safeguarding National Security Bill

Chairs of the bipartisan and bicameral Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC), Rep. Christopher Smith (R-N.J.) and Sen Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), are joined by Frances Hui of the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong Foundation, Anna Kwok of the Hong Kong Democracy Council, and other members of civil society groups, hold a press conference to discuss the implications of the Safeguarding National Security Bill (a.k.a.
