Trump Addresses House Republicans; RFK Jr., Noem, Rubio Testify at Budget Hearings

President Donald Trump is heading to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to meet with congressional Republicans as they aim to reach an agreement on a sweeping tax bill, with a narrow majority divided over the scope of spending cuts. The bill would extend the 2017 tax cuts, while adding tax breaks on income from tips and overtime pay that were part of Trump’s 2024 campaign pledge.

Secretaries Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are testifying before Senate committees on Tuesday regarding their departments’ budget requests for fiscal year 2026.
