The United States has now struck more than 6,000 targets inside Iran, including 30 ships that could lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump says Iran is paying a “big price” for hate and terror.
At the United Nations Thursday, the United States condemns China for trying to protect Iran, after China and Russia sought to block a discussion about sanctioning Iran, though to no avail.
Israel says its military has begun to strike security forces manning checkpoints in Iran. Meanwhile, Israel’s defense minister is vowing to take over parts of Lebanon if the Lebanese military cannot stop terrorist group Hezbollah from launching attacks at Israel.
Trump says Operation Epic Fury is “moving along very rapidly.” As the president acknowledges short-term pain at the pump for Americans, he says the greater priority is stopping Iran’s regime from ever acquiring a nuclear weapon.
