All 12 occupants, including 11 skydivers and one pilot, have died following a horrific plane crash on June 14 near Butler Memorial Airport in Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Bates County Emergency Management, the private aircraft—operated by Skydive Kansas City—took off shortly before 11:30 a.m. local time on Sunday. Officials report the plane struggled to gain altitude immediately after takeoff, attempted an emergency turn to return to the airport, and crashed into an adjacent field where it became engulfed in flames.
