LIVE NOW: FDA Advisory Committee Reviews Compounded Drug Ingredients (Day 1)

The FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee meets at 8:00 a.m. ET on July 23 to review bulk drug substances proposed for inclusion on the 503A Bulks List of ingredients pharmacies are allowed to use when creating customized, or compounded, medications. The committee will discuss short-chain amino acids, including BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, and MOTs-C, for potential uses including ulcerative colitis, wound healing, inflammatory conditions, obesity, and osteoporosis, and hear presentations from nominators supporting the substances.
